April 22, 200422 yr Howdy,Been working with AS2004 AS2004 Build 90 MR1 just fine, but today there's a new problem: winds aloft are zero, and temps are minus 273. Huh?Here's the log: http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72644.gif------------------------------------sorry about the sloppy edit - but at least it's under 800x600 :DI was going to also post the AS2004 main window which earlier today was showing correct (or at least, non-zero) winds and temps aloft, but I'm now getting the zero values in the main window, too.Data problem? NOAA says this:000FDUW01 KWBC 221405DATA BASED ON 221200Z VALID 221800Z FOR USE 1700-2100Z. April 22, 200422 yr Hi,Looked to be a data problem. All should be good now.Go Red Wings,Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
April 23, 200422 yr Hi,I think I had this problem yesterday as well. It led to the strangest FS behaviour I've ever seen.Did some touch and goes at ESGG with the PMDG 737. After my first takeoff, the aircraft suddenly started to climb like a rocket with a speed of over 900 knots. Both engines failed, a couple of alarms went crazy and the sky turned red (!). The aircraft became completely uncontrollable, so I decided to give it a new try. This time I leveled off at a lower altitude (7000 ft) and everything seemed fine initially. Even though my airplane behaved well this time, I could see clouds moving in the layers above me with the speed of light... It became even more interesting when some AI traffic came in sight. The planes were literally dancing around all over the sky like big bumble-bees. Poor passengers! :)Although amused by the absurdity of the whole situation, I guessed that something must be very wrong with the weather. :)I checked the AS data and it show a temperature of -273 degrees, so I guess this was the cause of the problem.
April 26, 200422 yr If I remember my physics correctly, -273 deg C is absolute zero where strange things like superconductivity occurs, engine performance goes weird, etc. Now you have successfully simulated it.Did you survive?
