April 30, 200422 yr There was a post here recently regarding rain from clear skies...however that was with wxRE. Regardless, that exact thing happened to me on a flight from KLEB to KLGA yesterday using AS2004.To wit:http://cobweb.dartmouth.edu/~gridlock/RainAS2k4-A.jpghttp://cobweb.dartmouth.edu/~gridlock/RainAS2k4-B.jpghttp://cobweb.dartmouth.edu/~gridlock/RainAS2k4-D.jpgThe weather was downloaded at 14Z, but I was flying at about 01Z with TAF processing enabled. I use FSUIPC (reg'd) v3.212 with weather minimums +random cloud turb +random cirrus. The current snapshot and .dat file are here.AS2k4 said:Top box:KEEN 290027Z 20008KT P6SM BKN250 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004 14/M01 A3025 RMK DYNAMIC TAF ELEMENTMiddle box:KEEN 290531Z 290606 00000KT P6SM BKN090 BKN250 FM0900 23008KT P6SM SCT100 SCT250 FM1400 23010G18KT P6SM SCT250 FM1900 23010G18KT P6SM BKN250 FM0000 23010KT P6SM BKN250 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004Just thought I'd let you know! April 30, 200422 yr Hi Scott,Thanks for that. The only thing I see are all the remarks in the middle of the METAR. Maybe AS didnt know how to deal with it. I know in the past, every once and a great awhile, this rain thing would happen, but we could never reproduce it on a regular basis.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
