Weather Centre 2 question ?

Don't know if you can help or not, but the WC2 support page does not seem to be working. Do you have a server problem?I have a query concerning the Flight Planning mode of WC2.The documentation (extract below) states to save a flight plan using the Flight Simulator default extension of .FLT. This is in fact not the default extension for a Flight Plan but the default for a 'situation', which is not the same. The normal extension for an FS flight plan is .PLN. WC2 does not seem to recognise .PLN when trying to load a flight plan into WC2. Does this mean that you have to save the flight plan twice, once with the normal .PLN (for use within FS) and then with the extension .FLT (for use within WC2)? Surely it would have been better for WC2 to use the default .PLN? Could this be considered for an update to the programme?extract from documentation.Loading a Flight PlanTo load a flight plan, begin by creating one in the Flight Simulator flight planning interface, then save the file with the default extension .FLT. Next, switch to the Weather Center 2 Planning mode and click the MSFS button on the right side of the display. In the new dialog window, select the flight plan. The flight plan navigation points are loaded and displayed on the left side of the display with arrows to scroll through the entire list.Best regards,Stuart Hyett

Hi Stuart,You are correct. WC was orginally designed for FS02 where this was the case. The work around is as you described it. We will see what Damian has planned. I will not answer your e-mail too.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
