Just got AS2004 and have problems

Featured Replies

Hello,Installed and followed the directions for setting up FS2004 and FSUIPC. The weather does not match (i.e. if it's overcast, the clouds are partly cloudy, etc.). This happens in every location. Also my frame rates have been cut in half from 30-40 fps to 5-15 with clouds in view. The 122.00 voice freq. weather does not match the station weather. It will say KLEX 5000 overcast 8 miles vis and the actual AS2004 metar is 4500 overcast and 10 miles. What are the recommended settings in both AS2004 and Fight Sim that may fix these problems? Thanks.DavidP4 2.6 Gz1 gig pc-3200 RAMRadeon 9700 pro w/cat 4.4 driver

Hi David,Welcome to Active Sky!1. Clear the weather in FS. This is most easily done through FSUIPC and the clear all weather button. Then load Active Sky. Give it time to update the weather. What are your weather settings in FS?2. Use weather minimums in FSUIPC.3. Limit cloud layers in Active Sky.4. Use replacement cloud textures.5. Drop your cloud draw distance in FS.6. Turn down AA and AF in the ATI control panel.7. Turn off Render to Texture in FS.8. Turn off AA in FS.Please try things and let us know!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
