  1. Hello, I have a Hagstrom KE-USB108 usb keyboard encoder and only the first HAT switch is usable. It allows a total of 4 and all of the hats/buttons show up in LINDA, but I can only use HAT 1. HAT's 2, 3 and 4 do not work. Any ideas? Thank you.
  2. Thanks again. To disable night lighting -- is it done by unchecking the enhance night lights/bridge/road lights in Ultimate Terrain or using Flight Sim? Also, is there a way to have it automatically change it depending on day/night?Some other questions -- With FS Genesis mesh, can I install more detailed mesh areas over other ones. i.e. USA 38m mesh and then a northeast 19m area over that? What cloud set/theme should I use with Active Sky?Thank you.
  3. Ok, thanks. I just noticed that I do not have any auto-gen trees now? Any ideas? Thanks.
  4. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. So far I have Ultimate Terrain and Ground Enviroment Pro. I think I will get FSGenesis next. However, here are some questions.1) The ground textures seem blurry from low altitudes and seem to pop into view as I fly towards them. Is this normal?2) I installed Ground Environment first -- Does UT overwrite the night textures? The night city lights seem large and blocky. I know both packages contain them.3) How will FS Genesis affect the first two packages and what will I notice most with the scenery?FS9 w/sp1 - All sliders full right.Thanks.
  5. Hi,FSX is nice, but I'm still not happy with the performance after upgrading my system. However FS9 runs very well now. Are there any add ons (scenery, mesh, etc.) that won't kill performance, but enhance the sim more like FSX? Thanks.DaveABIT IP35 proCore2Duo E6850 @ 3.0 gh4 Gigs RAMEVGA 8800 GTS w/640 mb
  6. I haven't used the PMDG 737 in awhile and finally tried it on my new system. It runs fine, but I get constant stutter in turns and when pitching up/down during flight. I don't remember it being so noticable on my old computer (P4, 2.6ghz). What type of performance should I get with the following system? All other add on aircraft seem to run much faster/smoother.Core2Duo E6850 3.0 GhzEVGA 8800 GTS w/640 mb4 Gigs RAMFS9 w/sp1WinXP Pro/SP2Thanks.
  7. I'm getting constant CTD's and reboots using EVGA 8800 GTS. Started with 158 EVGA drivers, now using 173 nvidia. Any ideas? Thanks. ABIT IP35 ProCore2duo E68504 gig ramWin XP pro SP2EVGA 8800 GTS 640 mbFS9 with SP1
  8. >IDE is no longer necessary if you have a SATA DVD. The IDE>connection is for backward compatibility or if you wanted to>use one of your old IDE drives as a backup or storage.>>Regards,>Jim KarnThanks for the response. However, if the SATA controller is set up as RAID in the BIOS, can you use the remaining SATA ports for a non-raid SATA CD/DVD drive? I.E. SATA ports 1 & 2 each have a SATA hard drive connected and set as RAID. Can you plug in a SATA CD/DVD drive to SATA port 3?
  9. I have an ABIT IP35 Pro MB set up for a RAID 1 (Mirror). Is it possible to connect a SATA CD/DVD drive or do I need to use an IDE drive and why? Thanks.
  10. There is no sleep mode. It happens to be a problem with the Intel chipset on the motherboard. It seems some older chipsets may not work properly with the yoke.
  11. I've decided to build a new system and would like some opinions. If I want the fewest hassles is it better to stick with XP Pro vs. Vista? Any advantages? It will be a shared home use computer along with FS9 & FSX.Intel E6850 core2duo or Q6600 quad core cpu? What's a good ASUS or other brand motherboard? I doubt I will overclock it. Thanks in advance.

  13. I was waiting to post this until after I tested it out, but it seems many people are frustrated and hopefully this will help.I am having the same problem with random button presses and the yoke will stop responding. After some research, I found out that my USB chipset on my motherboard is designed to go into a low power state after a few minutes and that the Saitek Yoke doesn't like that. I then tried it on a newer computer with a different USB chipset and the yoke works perfectly. I bought a new USB 4 port add on PCI card to put in my older computer and see if it works. 14. I have it and think that is much better than the CH yoke. The only downside is I am trying to find a good way to attach it to my desk. The mounting bracket that comes with it is great, but very large and it will not work with a keyboard tray/drawer.
