June 2, 200422 yr Still have seen little/no improvement with AR display.Occasionally still get "donut" with pinwheel rain bands in areas of total rain coverage.Weather is reported accurately in AR as well as AS.Reloads seem to temporarily work, but then degrade on subsequent activations of AR.I'm using latest "free" version of FSUIPC...don't know if that makes a difference.Glenn D. June 2, 200422 yr Hi Glenn,Are Global writes ON or OFF when this happens? I may ask you to totally uninstall and reinstall AS and AR. Do you have the necessary files to do this? No, I have the free version of FSUIPC and since beta testing last November I have not seen this nor have I gotten any reports besides yours. We want to get you up and running again! Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 2, 200422 yr Author Global Writes are OFFI have HIFI-2004.zip and as2k4updateMR1.zip "saved" and available. I have already deleted and reinstalled twice, but I'm up for anything else, now. Thanks for your concern. I hate to keep bothering you with this, but It really is a nuisance....especially since I had very good luck with WC2.Glenn D. Willmot>Hi Glenn,>>Are Global writes ON or OFF when this happens? June 3, 200422 yr Author PS.....Your statement that I was the only one experiencing this problem got me to doing some further investigation. After all....it would appear that the problem is on "my end".I had deleted both wxre and WC2 weeks ago. I thought nothing of it. I even went back and checked the registry to make sure all references to "WC2" were gone.I went back into the registry tonight, and discovered two references to "wxre" that remained...even after the deletion.I flew for over an hour tonight and find the AR appears to be acting "normally" again. I'll try again tomorrow and report back. It appears that you've done a fine job on the product. I can't say as much for the "deletion" routine of WinXP!Thanks again for your concern, and I'm very sorry to bother you for something which appears to be "my" problem.Glenn D. Willmto
June 3, 200422 yr Hi Glenn,Don't you ever hesitate to post a "my problem" question or situation. At this point in our product life cycle that is what most situations are, but that is what we are here for. If we see a pattern then we know it may be something more. But if nobody posts then we know nothing.Something else to experiment with: On the Options screen there is an update interval value. I'm sure you know where it is, in the same place as it was in WC2. I think the default is 5 or 10. Take that value and lower it and see if more frequent updates helps you.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 3, 200422 yr Author Thanks, Jim.I believe that I have already lowered the value to "1", but I'll confirm tonight and verify that AR is still giving me "normal" returns.I'll give you another "kickback" then.Thank you very much again.Glenn Willmot
