Update does not work

Featured Replies

Hi guys,my weather update in FS9 doesn't work. Let me briefly explain what I do: Start FS, clear all weather, start AS. I've always done it that way and it has always worked but since yesterday it doesn't anymore. Once the update is completed, I get the real weather in FS9 for about 5 seconds and it the reverts back to clear skies. Any thoughts on my problem would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!PS: I have attached the FSUIPC log file.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/81556.zip

Hi Christopher,Any weather theme set in FS? Please post your AS2004.ini file. The file from FSUIPC is OK. I'll take a look.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi,Have you installed Squawkbox or ATOC recently? If so you'll need to disable real world wx within those apps to prevent conflicts with AS2004 writes.-Damian

None of them. I cleared all weather as it is suggested in the manual. This problem first came up after installing FS Real Time. Are there any known issues about AS used together with FS Real Time?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/81659.txt

A few things I noticed:1. Use Proxy Server is True but Proxy Address is None2. Use System Time is False. Suggest True3. Global Writes should be False. Then make Auto Global Writes True.#1 may lead to no server connection#2 along with using FS Real Time this may be a problemLet's try to narrow this down by not using FS Real Time and see what happens.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Jim -Not sure if this was ever solved but I have exactly the same problem. Once I update the weather (online updates) my weather immediately reverts back to clear skies (pressure 29.92). It does not update until later once I am airborne. This did not start occuring until I downloaded MR2. In relation to FS Real Time I am also using it and just recently updated it also, however the same thing happens even if I do not start FS Real Time.Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi ed,Welcome to the forum! I would love to help you, but I need you to do me a favor: please start a new topic in the forum. It really makes the job easier! Even if you cut and paste the same text, that's OK.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Sorry about that. Thanks for responding though.I think I solved my own problem. I had to go into FSUIPC and click "Clear all weather" and then ActiveSkey was able to take effect. Thanks again.EW
