ERROR DURING WEATHER DOWNLOAD

Featured Replies

hi, i have active sky 2002 WeRE and when first attempting to download weather I get a message saying error or timeout downloading cycle.I think this is due to my slow connection to the internet (56K) because it takes some time. Where can I change the time until the program says error in downloading?PS: this is really annoying, did nobody test the prog with a slower connection? or is it a different problem?thanks in advance for any help

Hi,Please update to v1.92.4.There is no place you can change the time.Of course we tested this program with slower connections.Try the Low-Bandwidth Winds Download option.Make sure your firewall and/or anti-virus is allowing access.Do you get this error everytime? Also make sure you are in Offline Mode when downloading a cycle. Please let us know so we can help you!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi,We have many 56k wxRE users without problems, so I think it is something else... The timeout is very long, much longer than would take to download a wx data document even on a 56K connection that was acting up.Most common download problems are caused by firewall software. Make sure that wxRE and it's associated windows components are allowed access, or disable it entirely.Spy/adware can also cause problems - make sure you are clean.. there are many free spy/adware removal programs out there... Hope that helps!-Damian
