Altitude considerations in NavLog?

Featured Replies

I am relatively new to Active Sky but have thoroughly enjoyed it and have learned a great deal from following everyone's troubleshooting in the forum. I enjoy developing flightplans in FS Navigator but I don't see a way for these plans to be imported into ActiveSky. When I convert them to FS9 Plans it looks like every waypoint is treated as cruise altitude in the NavLog, including the destination airport. Is there a way around this so that the windspeeds at each waypoint reflect the proper flight plan altitude in NavLog? This would then make the final cumulative flight-time quite accurate. Thanks,DD

Hi DD,I am not real sure about this, but I think there is no solution for this right now. Others will know for sure!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi DD,Thanks for the input! Currently this is not supported. The flight planning functions are limited in this regard. However I have put this on the request list and will be working on it in the near future!Note that FSBuild supports full flight planning with weather detail aspects including AS wx import, so there is a solution out there, albeit payware. But this is a good product worth mentioning.. many FSNAV users use it in conjuction with AS2004. http://www.fsbuild.com.Hope that helps, and thanks again for the suggestion!
