August 20, 200421 yr Hi Jim and Damian,we already wrote each other about the "P" modifier instead of "+".I found this different modifier used not only in Italy but also in UK (see, for example, the EGLL TAF of today, Aug.20th, valid from 10 to 19Z).I remeber that maybe also in Germany it is udes. So, if you could put the possibility of AS2004 to read correctly this modifier too in the next release, it should be nice.Another question: how does AS2004 represent the TCU clouds ? Just as cumulus with a major vertical profile or as CBs ?Thanks.
August 20, 200421 yr Hi Enrico,I think the P code is for next time. We did do some things with clouds and I think TCUs are now CBs. Damian will correct this if I am mistaken, and I could be!!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
August 20, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi,I will be adding the P modifier support in b141 coming soon. TCU's are not considered thundestorms even if "Force Tstorms with CB" is enabled. When TCU exists you'll generally see exacty what it specifies: Towering Cumulus (specifically, very thick cumulus layers, but thickness can depend on other potentially conflicting cloud layers which may limit the vertical appearance).Hope that helps!
