How much data volume (Download) for 1 Hour flight ?

Featured Replies

Hello,I just would like to know, how much data AS2004 is normally downloading for a 1 Hour flight (Munich-Berlin). I did download the created flight plan (FS9) twice, because I forgot to clear the weather in FS9 first........did a refresh in AS2004But after 10 min. flight I had 65 MB downloaded..... :

Hi,65 MB? Are you sure? 65 KB possibly! How are you determining this? For my start-up flight, in a heavy USA area, I get a 314KB download.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Christian,The downloads per update should not exceed 400K. So at the default 10 minute update interval you're looking at maximum 2.4MB with normal updates. However, manual refreshes or downloads are not considered, so you COULD download more but it's only 400K max each one.How did you determine that AS was downloading 65MB in 10 minutes?

Hello...Thanks for quick answer... I need to check it in more detail. But to answer your question, I have logged on the WEB and I did only run AS2004 and did not download any other data.... After 10 min flights I have checked the DSL connection, which showed this huge data volume.Good to know, that this has nothing to do with AS2004.Thanks again...Best regards,Christian
