August 29, 200421 yr Howdy,I'm running V1.1 (build 90) and seem to have a problem getting the downloaded wx to show up in FS9. I have read the FAQ regarding this sort of problem, but the suggested fix doesn't seem to be working for me. I saved a "default" flight, with the FSUIPC (registered) module set to Minimum Weather Defaults, and cleared all wx prior to saving the flight. When I load FS9, it loads with no wx of course. I then start up Active Sky and download the current wx (I'm using live, online wx & updates). However, after about 10 minutes of waiting, I still have perfectly clear conditions. I usually try a couple of refreshes during this time, waiting for the data to be completely read to FSUIPC first before trying it again (plus a couple of minutes). I will then usually shut down AS and then reload. Sometimes after the restart I will get part of the wx, but when ovcst skies are called for, I seem to just get broken at best. The normal AS2004 defaults are selected except I'm using online updates. Any ideas about where I can start looking for my problem? I'm sure this is a switch I've thrown somewhere, but I'm not sure the best place to start here. Thanks for any help.Glenn
August 29, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Glenn,Might be one of two things:1) There is a known problem in FSUIPC 3.30 where writes could become corrupted (timestamp issues). Updating to AS2004.5 (beta) which includes FSUIPC 3.317 test would fix it if this is the problem..2) Any saved flight creates a wx theme (even if clear initially) which can lock out wx changes as provided by external wx programs such as AS. If you are loading a saved flight you should always perform a manual clear all wx via FSUIPC followed by starting AS2004 or a manual refresh.Does this help? Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
August 29, 200421 yr Hi DamianOK, thanks for this. Looks like it's the FSUIPC problem more than the other as I did the manual clear wx each time I loaded up (after loading FS9 but before AS). I'll look at getting the beta or simply wait for the new release and see how that goes, although I'll check again to see if Pete has released v3.317 yet (checked last week, but no joy then). Thanks Damian, appreciate the help.Glenn
