No Wx Radar after installing Beta??

Featured Replies

DamianThanks for a great product and really worthwhile updates. I must admit I am not a routine user of the Wx Radar module but now I find I cant get a wx Situation display. Under Planner it tells me no Flt Plan is loaded even after I have loaded the FltPln in AS2004 AND the ActiveRadar Planner module. Could that be the root of the problem? The Sit. Display shows APTS but no Wx. I had no problem before. I carefully followed the guidelines on P24/25. What am I missing?? Any help appreciated! Best regardsGareth

Hi,Let's get your Situation display up and then we'll get your plans working again. On the Tracking Screen does your location and data show up?Are you running on a single computer or networked?Have you been to an airport with rain? Sorry to say, but Florida is a good place to check.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi JimI have been having a similar problem to Gareth. I was running fine with the MR1 version but since trying both MR2 Beta versions I am unable to get any information in the Situation Display 90% of the time.Example last weekend did a flight Miami to Orlando, rain all around but all that would show is the wind and direction, no airports, nothing just a black screen. It said no Flight Plan loaded which one was and airports would not show. Later in the day I restarted and suddenly all is OK same location same flight plan. That was the last time it worked, in the last three attempts nothing. To my knowledge I did nothing different. I am running a single PC so FSWide is not used. Any thoughts to getting reliable displays on this great productMike

Hi Mike,See if this is during the time that AS is writing the station data that you get no AR display.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

JimIt does not dsiplay at any time whether righting station data or not. The 90% of the time that I start FS9 I get no situation display. If I dont have it at the start no matter how long FS9 is running I will not get a display.Hope that clarify's thingsMike

Hi Mike,Each time you check are you at an airport that has rain?On radar you are expecting just rain echos, correct, and not cloud formations?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

JimThat is correct, I am expecting rain not clouds. There was rain at all the locations I tried. If I manually enter a location it shows that it is raining but still nothing on the Situation Display. Please note that it does not even show the airport locations when I select that option.Mike

Hi Mike,OK no location data, signals some kind of communication problem. I suggest an uninstall and reinstall of AS and AR. If you do this, go right from V1 to MR2 beta. Please let us know if this helps anything for you! Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

JimLooks like that did it. Tried 3 different locations where it is raining all report rain on situation display and all options work. Thanks for your time and patience.Mike
