September 12, 200421 yr Only just noticed that at the bottom of the nav log the average route wind speed and direction is given (how long have I been using AS2004 :-doh )However the winds are given for FL320 regardless of what altitude I put in Flight Plan Entry box. Is the calculation set at FL320 or am I doing something wrong?TIA
September 12, 200421 yr Hi,Cruise Altitude box needs a value. Try and change that value. I just tried with an import plan and a manually entered plan and both showed correctly.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
September 12, 200421 yr Author Thanks Jim.I tried it today with FL350 & 340 in the cruise altitude box but still got the average winds for FL320. I'll have another go during the week.Found the culprit.I make my flight plans with FSNav and then export them to FS9 and on to AS. I had assumed that only the route would be parsed by AS but a little test shows that AS also uses the cruise altitude of the flight plan and that does not change no matter what you enter in the cruise altitude window in the AS flight plan box.
September 12, 200421 yr Hi,That is correct because the flight altitude is saved as part of the plan no matter whether you are using FSNav or FS itself to generate the plan.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
