AS2004.5 considerations

Featured Replies

Hi Damian and Jim,AS2004.5 is absolutely fantastic, you're always improving the best addon for FS9.I have some minor question:1-when tuning flightwatch on 122.0 I get the weather spoken word per word and it takes 10 minutes to finish the report ! (not so important, but...)2-how AS handles the VV (vertical visibility) ? Putting a OVC layer at the VV value ?3-the PROB modifier is still NOT modelled ?4-how is handle RASN or SNRA precipitation ?Many thanks for your help and thumbs up for your work !

Hi,I can't speak on 2, 3, or 4. For 1 try and see if your sound card drivers are up to date.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

For audio check your sound card acceleration settings by running dxdiag or by right clicking on your desktop, choosing settings-advanced, maybe your video card, advanced again, and see if there is a tab for audio. I use acceleration basic plus 1. This affects your audio flow. The other thing for all FS related performance in general is to insure no unneeded background processes are running.

Thanks a lot. I'll check the drivers, but for what I remember they should be up to date. Anyway, that's not a big issue. AS is fantastic !

Thanks Ronzie,I'll check in that way.I've no unneeded processes in background (using fsautostart with all unneeded progrs stopped).

I had this problem, too... You have to run fs9.exe and as2004.exe with the same cpu priority to solve the problem... At least for me, that helped!Best regards,Matthias

I'll try this too, thanks !
