November 11, 200421 yr I have had to install and reinstall Norton Internet Security 2005 several times. Each time I do that I cannot launch Active Sky and have to reinstall it.I suspect this relates to Norton's instructions to delete the contents of the Win XP %temp% folder prior to installing. If Active Sky keeps a link in the temp folder to launch itself what is the name of that link so I can avoid deleting it.Why would a critical link reside in the temp folder? This is the only program so affected. Thanks,Greg Greg Clark
November 11, 200421 yr Hi Greg,Nope, nothing of ours stays in the temp folder. So the uninstall is deleting the shortcut? This is strange.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
November 12, 200421 yr Author Actually worse than that it disables the program completely!Oh well, I will just reinstall it no big deal.ThanksGreg Greg Clark
November 12, 200421 yr Greg,But how? Does it remove AS2004 files? Does it cause the shortcut not to work? Here is the general path a shortcut should have:C:FS2004ModulesActiveSky2004AS2004.exeYour path is probably different at the beginning.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
