Can someone walk me through installing AS via WideFS?

Featured Replies

Hi, I've had AS for a while now. Now, I want to run it via WideFS (I have the registered FSUIPC and WideFS).Alright, so far I put the WideServer.ini and WideServer.dll in the FS9 modules folder and the WideClient.ini and WideClient.exe on my laptop. I also have AS2004 installed on both machines. From there, I am lost. Thanks.PS If you have time, could you tell me how to use Sqwuakbox with WideFS also?

Theres nothing to it. Just run the client on the side you want to run Activesky on, and run the program. Works like a charm.

Just wondering.........What is the advantage to running Active Sky on the laptop with WideFS? Also, would FS have to be installed on the laptop too? Thanks,Howard

Hi Howard,It can reduce the CUP load from your main machine. You would only have AS installed on the laptop so it uses the laptop CPU.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Jim,Thanks a lot, I will give it a try.Howard
