ASV - Blurry Clouds

Featured Replies

Having a weird problem with ASV, Clouds drawn at a distance are blurred. If I hit SLEW, they go instantly clear, then blur again when I move out of Slew. I can slew ON and Off all day and it keeps happening.Any idea why this is, and why they are blurred when out of slew mode? How can I fix.TIA.

Hi,-Make sure you are using 32bits in fs2004 display resolution and not 16 bit.In fs2004 engine, the slew mode function, the clouds impostor is not available, so you will see clouds at far, when you remove the slew the clouds impostor appears, this is made to improve performance in fs2004 engine, There is setting in weather display, set cloud percentage should be at 100%, this will hide the clouds impostor.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpgFreeware Addons for FSW GROUP

Thanks Chris, that fixed it. Had the 3D Clouds set to 30%, switched to 100% and it cleared the problem.I had it at 100% before, and found that certain weather conditions caused the system to stutter, which is weird, as I was getting around 30FPS and a stutter. Didn't make sense. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Paul,"I had it at 100% before, and found that certain weather conditions caused the system to stutter, which is weird, as I was getting around 30FPS and a stutter. Didn't make sense."On this case reduce the clouds density slider, this help when there is many layers at the same time.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpgFreeware Addons for FSW GROUP
