FSX use cirrus files and cumulus01 files only, all others are not used, as for the cloud looking, you have to change texture set , there is stratus, cumulus and wispy, individually and these can be related to metar as well how they will look, the gray/dark are related to the sky set and shade, shade are 3rd party addons that modifie the light on clouds and things like this, if you did not install it, it is ok. At dusk and dawn, the dark and gray will remain there, fsx lightning system.

Depend on the texture used, you might get different result. For texture it's probably the stratus only, try to use these 01 Cinema, 07 Drift, 12 Shell, 24 SP2 Compact, stick with one stratus set, if you are using wx influenced, they will get changed again, they must be disabled on the wx influenced to get constant stratus sets. Please notes As2012 was not working like ASN, We are working on the second phase for ASN separately which will unlock many feature and bring ASN to his highest level on depiction and graphically merged together.

Hi, Here little explanation of Inland water, they are more specific area to lakes and rivers etc. http://www.greenfacts.org/en/ecosystems/toolboxes/systems-inland-mountain.htm Inland blue ( for inland area where the inland look more blue), inland brown (for inland area where the inland look more brown), they are placed automatically from FSX scenery specific to lakes and rivers etc. Fsx have ocean, tropical, inland blue and inland brown, As2012 have variant for taste, they are individual group of texture placed in specificic area in FSX water class, but each of these never overwrite each others, you can have one set of ocean, one set of tropical, one set of inland blue and one set of inland brown at once, we don't control where the water class are placed, they are built from FSX scenery.

Hi, Try to changes sets, recolor, also FSX might not use inland water on these area by their scenery water class. By clicking inland blue water set, use the recolor function for inland blue, then install the custom inland blue created. You might also click on the build color buttons at the bottom right, these are custom preset water created. Try to change differente area Ocean, Inland and tropical sets.

Hi, reboot computer, you might have duplicated files or temp issue, but Download Combined Update SP2 Beta B4722, it contains SP1. -
HI, The disappear and reappear in a very short time of one second on certain view angle, it's FSX issue, it happens in manual FSX weather as well, I can move on certain angle spot view and sometime they disappears all and reappear like a flash, also others issue, far away clouds appears in front of the actual clouds coverage.

Hi, Thank you a lot for these comment, very appreciated, Our Texture are based for realism overall for many condition, great fly trough clouds thickness, for sky, clouds, cumulus, stratus, wispy etc, all based photo real, but I can say, you saw nothing yet, when we will be ready, you will see what I am talking about

To clarify something, Texture format and resolution are universal which means, example take 512x512 dxt1 ground and change it from another 512x512 dxt1 ground texture, no matter what appears, it will be the same, performance are related to the size amount of the files only or format on some graphics cards do run better then others, this is the same for all game type, PS,PC or any platform game, the difference are only when the size of the files increase or decrease by the resolution or format you will see difference, as a fact, we got same post as you but this time he was not using our texture this time, so changing texture to others will not change.

Hi Eric, I saw in your CFG TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096, should be at 1024x1024, on some system\config, at 4096x4096 it use more memory for nothing. ATI/AMD I think hate DXT format, Try 32bit 1024x1024. High amount of Antialasing setting is know as frame rate killer with Clouds. TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80, default is is 30, try to get it to 30. Also it depend which aircraft you are using and at which area, dense airports, with traffic, autogen etc. Ps: I have Nvidia cards, I don't see this problem.

Hi NaMco We are consistently improving on all area including graphics quality and taking ALL feedback , I have noticed you got issue with some clouds of doom compressed before, I recommend you to reduce this issue, with our clouds from SP2 and stratus clouds from SP2, In AS2012, you can select in separate wispy, stratus and cumulus and build your clouds, not limited to one total clouds sets without know what you will end up on some situation. You can see them quickly in the preview on the interface, SP2 Stratus, which blend all together for more realistic experience overall see the screenshots below..
