June 21, 200520 yr Hi guys,I'm having a problem keeping ASV working for any length of time. It will run fine for a couple of times, then after a computer restart, I get the following when I try to start ASV:Run time error 339component chilkatzip.dll or one of its dependencies not correctly resistered : a file is missing or invalid.I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, and the same scenario keeps happening. I have also used the repair function, and again, it will work for awhile, then the same thing again. Any help in making ASV stick will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bill
June 21, 200520 yr Hi,Your antivirus is removing that file. Some spyware programs are using that clean, valid file so anti-virus is removing it. Solution? Contact your anti-virus company and ask them to quit flagging that valid file.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 21, 200520 yr Happened to me one time so far. I used the repair option and it fixed it. At least for now...
