June 22, 200520 yr Hi, I realize on initial setup that ASV backed up my FS9 Texture folder. That's OK. I have since backed up the folder offline on a CD. Now when I start up ASV it saves the folder again. I DO NOT WANT THE OLD TEXTURE FOLDER ON MY HD!! that's why I backed it up offline. How do I remove the backup texture folder from my system without having ASV backing it up again? Is there a switch I have to turn off? This is a good feature, but if it is irreversable some one there did not think it through. Not a smart programing feature as far as I am concerned. if I don't want 140mb taking up disk space on my HD I should have the option to remove it without ASV interfering.Regards,Tom i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
June 22, 200520 yr Hi Tom,I am not sure about this, but I will suggest that the reason is because ASV looks for the backup and if it is not there it creates it again. Try this: empty the backup folder but leave the empty folder in place. Then see if ASV fills it again with texture files. Damian is away for a few days, but I can do my best to suggest things or put it on my list for him. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 22, 200520 yr Author It's OK I solved the problem myself. Instead of deleteing the entire backup folder, I left it and deleted the contents. ASV is happy as lonf as there is a folder there. Sorry for the rant guys. I was a little premature there. Great product...Regards,Tom i913900KF (5.8GHz) | Case: Fractal PopAir RGB I Gigabyte Z790 UD AX| MSI Gaming RTX 4070Ti Super 16GB | Kingston Fury Beast 64GB DDR5 5200Mhz | SOLIDIGM P41 Plus 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD | Samsung SSD 870 EVO 2TB | Thermalright Frozen Notte 240 MM Liquid Cooling | LG EVO 42" Monitor 3840 x 2160 120Hz | Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo | Logitech G Pro pedals | Tobii EyeTracker | 850W Thermaltake 80+ GOLD |
