June 30, 200520 yr I still seem to be getting marked wind shifts on short final. The winds at destination were 20 knots but during approach only had 8 knots until 200 ft above the threshold when the 20 knots suddenly kicked in with drastic consequences. July 2, 200520 yr Author No wake turbulence as all the AI were using other runways. Haven't created a thermal point - don't know how you do this. SU2 was installed. Now after posting I flew some circuts around YSSY but couldn't replicate the problem - so I am a bit mistified. I will just have to keep an eye on this one and see if it happens again.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened."
