July 6, 200520 yr I've installed SU2, which I thought was to fix problem with always haveing to tell the location of fs9 folder. My problem still exists. Every startup it asks for location, I point it to mapped drive ( im using widefs ) it concurs and uses it. everything works perfect. Startup also asks me to save path in options. I always go to the options and save. Next time on startup...here we go again.any suggestions?JimC. July 7, 200520 yr I tried the mapped drive at first but it did not work all that well. I also have a network at home and use WideFS.I cleared everything out from my first install and then when it asked for the directory I went through my network to the FS directory and have not had a problem since. Just a suggestion that works for me.
July 7, 200520 yr Ken,This makes sense. I think that there is a problem with Windoze and mapped drives. Or more likley the libraries used to develop the sw - it is VB I believe :-(.I have the problem the other way (I also have this problem!), in that FSBuild (also written in VB I think) often can't read the winds aloft through a mapped drive - automatically reconnected at startup. However, if I list files in explorer, FSBuild reads the winds. I will try a UNC path and see.Steve
