July 9, 200520 yr FS9 is not very good about creating long haul routes very accurately, or directly. For example say Seattle to Schipol. However if one uses the flight planner and chooses direct GPS, one gets a good representation of a Great Circle route. There are only two points start and finish however. If one enters this into the ASV New Route box, there are no waypoints obviously.1. What would one lose weather depiction wise, by doing this Direct GPS flight as opposed to entering some 40 waypoints using the FS 9 planner?2. Is one still going to see all the weather accurately along the way as one flys over near weather reporting points?3. Would there be any point to even entering a route like this into the ASV New route box? Thanks,Greg Greg Clark
July 9, 200520 yr Hi,1. Nothing, just information about the weather along the way.2. Yes.3. Sure, it will still set ICS and it will give your winds report.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
