July 11, 200520 yr Each time I start ASV (latest build) I get an invalid METAR in the fetch window. For example...INVALID: K40B 112024Z 04007KT 27/11 RMK AO1 PKWND 014/RNO 863V264 T02720106It always seems to be the same airport code K40B. Doesn't seem to affect anything though as ASV runs great otherwise.
July 11, 200520 yr Strange. It is in the snapshot list and in the weather station list. That window should not fetch a report unless you enter a code.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 11, 200520 yr I'll grab a screenshot the next time it happens. In this instance I was on the ground at CYOW and I had the correct METAR for CYOW on the top half of the screen but I had the INVALID infor in the bottom. Fetching a station clears it but it pops back up again after the next update.
July 12, 200520 yr Here are a couple of screenshots.I run two PC's connected by the most recent registered versions of FSUIPC and WideFS. My FS machine only runs FS. All my support software, such as ASV is run on the 2nd PC.1. I load ASV and click Download/Current Weather.2. I run FSBUILD2 and generate my FP using the ASV weather.3. I load and process my FSBUILD route in ASV. (1st Screenshot)4. I then load FS on my main PC and position myself at the origin airport.5. I then click on refresh in ASV and it properly updates the weather and displays my origin airport at the top. It then also displays the INVALID K40B at the bottom. (2nd Screenshot)This happens with every use of ASV, and does not seem to have any other impact on it's operation other that replacing my "fetched" airport METAR with the INVALID one after every update.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/122106.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/122108.jpg
July 12, 200520 yr Hi Mike,Same thing happened to me if I went to CYOW. So I fired up AS2004.5 and the exact same thing happened. I'll forward this to Damian. I'll suggest that the location data may be wrong for K40B, which is a weather station.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
