Active Radar doesn't work

Featured Replies

The email address in the forum was an outdated one. I just updated it . IF you could resend what you sent , thanks, Kurt

The other guys problem seem similar to mine... first I also had the data in the active radar window at tracking, the data actually disappeared after the reinstall, since then it is always 29.92, 10 C and no wind and clouds Thanks for your responseKurt

Hi,Maybe so!! Well, then the same thing goes for you too! Keep a watch on that Precipitation line on the Tracking Screen. What we do know is that there are some precipitation codes that ASV uses that AR does not recognize as precipitation and that is when problems start.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

The second reinstall finally solved the problem . I uninstalled in the following sequence:1) SU2 Upgrade2) ASV3) Active Radar Update 1.2 ( maybe that was the problem) 4) 4.5 Upgrade ( took about 20 Minutes alone) 5) original Active SkyThe new full reinstall works fine now. I flew out of MMMX in heavy pouring rain and really nasty turbulence ( passenger Satisfaction with FS Passenger sunk to 61%!!, just because of the thunderstorms and turbulence!), but it was just awesome, it took until 24000 feet to see the sun, ( sorry my for my strange sententences, my native language is german and I'm living for two years in the US now ( PSP)) and the radar showed a big green area of aproximately 75 Miles...I let you know if the problem comes up againGreetingsKurt

Jim, I don't remember cross-checking it against the precip line in "tracking". I'll have to look at that. I do know that AcitiveSky was showing heavy rain during one instance, but still no precip on radar. I'll have to look for some precip to fly through! Thanks, again,Mark
