August 28, 200520 yr Hi,Im just trying to go through the manual to setup my options correctly and was just wondering, If I use the ICS mode will it decrease performance.Im not really understanding what the diffrence is between these four options( 2 ICS options, Manual, random)Thanks alot.P.S If I go under active environmnet, I set up 64x64 cloud resolution, although I havnt tried it will it look very ugly. Im just trying to improve as best i can performance but without too much depreciation in the visualsThanks Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
August 28, 200520 yr Hi,1. ICS will not affect performance.2. ICS/Random--- Will give you ICS and will randomly select the other texture classes and submit them to FS04.ICS/Last--- Will give you ICS and will use the last set of textures in FS04.All Random--- No ICS and will select all texture classes and submit them to FS04.Manual--- No ICS and will not submit any textures. This allows you to pick the textures and Update and Submit.3. Start with the 256 clouds and see. Remember to install ImageTool and enable Mips.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
