September 14, 200520 yr Hi all,Everytime I fly, on apporach everything will be going great, then at 200ft it never fails, my plane gets smacked to the right and pushed downward. The perfect example was on approach to Burbank this evening, the winds were 00000KT or "calm" and sure enough everything was going swell, when the "hand of God" smacked my airplane again! It's absolutely driving me crazy. What can I do to fix this, and please tell me I'm not the only one who has this problem. Thanks,Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
September 14, 200520 yr Did you try to disable 'wake turbulence' already? That one made me always crash like never before...
September 14, 200520 yr Hi Jeff,By mistake have you generated a thermal point in that very spot?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
September 14, 200520 yr Author Jim, Dutch,I'm not sure how I could do that, so probably not. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, like sometimes it will happen at Las Vegas, but then other times it won't. I will try the other suggestion and disable wake turbulence, because now that I think about it, the last few times this has happened, I specifically remember a plane landing just a mile or two ahead of me.Thanks,Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
September 14, 200520 yr Hi Jeff,As it begins to happen, Alt/Tab to ASV and see. All wake turbulence events are announced in ASV. You may also have Enhanced WT enabled in the Options.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
