September 8, 200520 yr The ASV User's Manual states:"During installation, ASV will install FSUIPC into FS2004 automatically. When installed, you will see a new "Modules -> FSUIPC" menu option set in the FS menu bar."I opened the menu bar and do not have this option. The "readme" file indicates in installation item 3 to "Install FSUIPC 3.48 (or later) if not already installed. FSUIPC 3.48 can be installed by copying the FSUIPC.DDL file (in your FS9ModulesActiveSky2004 folder) to your base FS9Modules folder."Forgive my ignorance but I have limited experience in paths, folders, copying files, etc.I'd appreciate it if someone would give me step-by-step instructions (in simple terms) how to install FSUIPC (by the way, what does FSUIPC stand for?) so I can get ASV up and running. I'm looking forward to experiencing this program! Thanks a bunch!Ken
September 8, 200520 yr Hi and Welcome,1. Open your ASV folder.2. Find the FSUIPC.dll file.3. Right click on the file and choose Copy.3. Open your FS2004/Modules folder.4. Right click on a blank space and choose Paste.I think the first reference is an error. If you have other problems, please post!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
September 9, 200520 yr Thanks for the response.I have a couple of questions:1. Does the FSUIPC.DLL file have to be in BOTH FS9ModulesActiveSky 2004 folder AND the base FS9Modules folder? I moved it to the base folder instead of pasting and copying and wondered if it MUST be in both places.2. The User's Manual indicates to enable Mip Maps for improved performance. In order to enable Mip Maps I have to have IMAGETOOL.EXE installed. I downloaded the Terrain SDK but am unable to find the IMAGETOOL.EXE file. Please give me some guidance in this area.Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
