Thanks to everyone for developing and testing ASV5!!!! EXCELLENT PRODUCTI have the latest enhanced build installed but the 512 by 512 button is greyed out. I have downloaded and installed the 512 clouds. The button was active until I installed the enhanced build. I also goofed up when I installed the 512 textures, ASV5 WAS OPEN AT THE TIME.1. Old build was in place2. installed 128 textures3. installed asv5 enhanced version4. made a restore point5. with ASV5 enhanced in the tray, I installed the 512 textures (oops)6. closed ASV57. UNINSTALLED 512 textures8. reinstalled 512 textures (no luck, button still greyed out)9. uninstalled 512 textures10. restored computer to my earlier time11. uninstalled 128 textures12. uninstalled all builds and ASV513. reinstalled ASV514. installed 512 textures (button now active)15. installed 128 textures16. installed enhanced build (button for 512 textures greyed itself out)17. since the mips were still somehow active, i had to disable mips and then reenable mips to make sure the clouds were using mips18. I then disabled dxt and then reenabled the dxt format19. dxt and mips are enabled20. 512 textures are greyed out secondly, I was flying into and out of KBIS (Bismarck, ND) last night and today and the visiblity was not being set correctly.(sept 25 2005) the metar was supposed to be 10sm but ASV5 was setting a 46sm visiblity. I have radar contact and the visibility showed at least 46sm. Hi Chris,I will uninstall then reinstall ASV5 and I will also delete the ASV folder as well, I did notice that even after I uninstalled all clouds and when I reinstalled these clouds, that they were already set up for mips which they should not have been.I will post again shortly Chris,Thanks a bunch,

Hi Chris,Deleting the ASV folder did the trick, thanks.I tried to go back to KBIS, just 5 minutes ago, the metar was still saying visibility 10sm at the noaa site.ASV5 build 360 is recognizing the 10sm visibility but the visibility is set at 59sm in this case, Radar contact is telling me this and I can see there is no 10sm visibility. Hi,Any vis. greater than 9.9999 will be treated as unlimited. In that way then you need to set your max vis to a realistic value for your self. Hi,A good question! The reason is that both 9999 meters and 10 SM represent the same visibility, unlimited. The International system uses meters while the US system uses SM.
