ASE does not connect to FS9

Featured Replies

Hi allI just bought and installed ASE.I followed the installation instructions.I deleted FSUIPC.dll and FSUIPC.ini from FS9/Modules.Copyied FSUIPC.dll from FS)/Modules/ASV to FS9/modules (ver 3.50). It is registered also.Started ASV, configured it and saved.Started FS9, loaded the aircraft I wanted, set all and prepared for flight. When I hit Ctrl+Tab to return to ASV screen, it dispalyed the message on top "ASV Enhanced - FS Disconneted".On the ASV screen, below "Fetch a report" it displays a message saying "FS is not yet connected -"What am I doing wrong? Please helpJoao Tavares

Hi, -Make sure you press set default button on option, click save and close, (to enable online update)-Make sure you have added ASVE to the firewall. You can use the latest FSUIPC FSUIPC 3.50 from here http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

ChrisI had already done that, it starts online and fetches the 370K file.My Panda firewall is enabling ASV in and out on all ports.Like I said on my previous post, I copyied the FSUIPC.dll that came with ASE(3.50)to the FS9/Modules folder and registered it.I start ASV, then start FS9 and still get the "FS Disconnected" message. What else can I do?TnxJoao

Nope. Only had 1 FSUIPC.dll already. There is 1 FSUI.dll 916Kb created 6/13/2003. Should it be there? Also, WideFS is registered. Any problem with that? The File FSUIPC.key, under "Programs" has an entry for:ActiveRadar.dll = xxxxxxxxxxxx 12 caracthers codeShould there be any other entry for ASV?Please help.Joao

Not at all, only have 1 computer. WideFS just happens to be registered. Unregistering it didn't help either.Joao

Hi JimGuess what? I did that and ASV connects to FS now.Thank you very much.Great support.Joao

Hi Jim,Putting the .key file back made everything wrong again. I removed it and will address that issue later.Anyway, tnx for your support.Just one last question:My graphics card is far from being a top notch, therefore I now lost about 10fps running ASV.What settings should I adjust to get some fps back without loosing too much of the great wx quality ASV has given me, until I buy a new one?Joao
