October 12, 200520 yr I seem to be missing the dxt.bat file - after installing the ASVE update and the 128x128 texture set I wanted to use DXT textures - no luck.Where can I find this file?
October 13, 200520 yr Hi Tim,Do you have imagetool.exe placed in the AE folder? I know that has to be there. Not 100% sure on the rest so I'll point Chris to this thread.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
October 13, 200520 yr yes, imagetool is there. mipmap functions work fine, but the dxt functions don't, and there's no dxt.bat file present.
October 14, 200520 yr heard from Damien that the dxt.bat file is created by the application, but it still doesn't work for me. The mip function works. If anyone's created the DXT files successfully, can you please post your dxt.bat file or email it to me at [email protected]?Thanks
October 14, 200520 yr Please check your mail.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
October 15, 200520 yr >Please check your mail.>>Hope this helps,>Jim>ActiveSky Sales and Support>http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpgThe root cause of the problem is that when I installed ASV (update from AS2004.5), and then all the updates (SU2 and the new ASVE), at no time was the DXTTextures directory created under the "Active Environment" directory.Once I copied the 3D clouds textures to DXTTextures, the conversion routines for dxt worked correctly. No idea why that folder wasn't created during install.
October 15, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi, The DXTTextures normaly is created when you click the enable DXT.Now to see if the convertion was made, check the 512x512 folder, click on sub folder until you saw the cumulus01.bmp, should be 342KBThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
October 15, 200520 yr the textures weren't actually converted, but I used the text Damian sent to convert them.Perhaps the problem is that the path is too long?My FS9 directory is H:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator 9And that's a lot longer than the C:fs9 I got in the sample batch file.
