October 13, 200520 yr Hello, I have a problem with FS that has started today, On starting FS I get the the startup screen where you can select a flight. when I select a flight and say "fly now" the sim crashes on installing textures on 0% after about 5 seconds with the usual error message from FS only saying unknown module error,I have just installed the enhanced AS and have Mip maps and DXT disabled and render to texture selected on. Could this be a problem with active sky and if so should I remove the program and if I do this will it put all the files back to where it was before the ptogram was installed?Any advice appreciatedThanks Timhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
October 14, 200520 yr Hi,A 0% texture crash is usually a bad scenery file. Try to switch to Summer season. If you don't run ASV does this happen?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
October 14, 200520 yr Hi JimI have removed AS5 and the enhancement and deactivated all addon sceneries so there is only the default ones activated and it's still crashing after a few seconds at 0% on the "loading ojjects" screen.I am really stumped with this. It was fine last time I shut it down and a few days later it won't start. CheersTim http://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif

October 14, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi, It's may related to a missing dll module in fs or missing bgltextureRe install Default texture fs2004texture to test.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
October 14, 200520 yr Hi Tim,I see that you have a thread on the General Forum going too. You may need to move the fs9.exe out and do a re-install over the top of your current install. Looks like something got messed up the last time FS04 closed down.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
October 15, 200520 yr I'm beginning to think so too Jim, I think it must be a bgl file somewhere in the scenery directory, I've got nothing to lose at this stage by doing an install over the old version. Does that mean I'd have to run the FS9.1 update again? I suppose it will.I have 2 computers networked together, I was thinking of installing a default version on the 2nd one anyway for the future and then copying over the default files to see if that works. If not then it looks like I'll have to do a complete install from scratch. Thanks for the help, I wasn't getting a lot of joy on the general forum and I thought it was maybe AS5 causing the problem as I'd recently installed the enhanced upgrade and played around with mip versus non mip settings.
