Rain on the VC windscreen

Featured Replies

I've just installed ActiveSky V enhanced and it's lovely. I'm still trying to work it all out which is great fun. However, there is one 'problem'. I don't like the new effects of rain on the front of the windscreen while in the VC. If memory serves me correctly, with default FS9, while flying through rain, you see it streaking towards you and streaming over the windscreen. Now with ActiveSky enabled, I get a rather ugly moving noise effect. I can still see the rain passing to my sides ala default FS9, but my front view just looks like there's something wrong. No impression of rain heading towards me, just streaming irregular darkened splotches. Is this what was intended? Is this the way rain looks in the real world? Or, is this a graphics error with my system? (GeForce 6800GT 256Mb, 81.85 drivers, 2XQ AA, 2XAF, Quality, Trilinear, everything else on)If this is what was intended, is there a way to revert back to the default FS9 rain on VC windscreen? Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been delt with before. I did search, but couldn't find anything.

Hi Bottle,There is 11 set of VC rain not only one in Active Environment interface, try them one by one, you can back to default by copying the bmp fromModulesASVActiveEnvironmentFS_Texture_Backup (files are VCRainMoving***.bmp)ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
