November 13, 200520 yr Just flew a VATSIM approach into CYVR in terrible conditions. The effect ASVE had on the experience is indescribable! I'm totally blown away. Punching through foggy rainy Vancouver soup well after I was on the GS, just making out the r/w lights in distance... incredible.Congrats on a fantastic acheivement, and thanks. Worth every penny.

November 20, 200520 yr schmeeling,I flew into YVR yesterday too.... 1/8 SM vis FG, totally blew my mins :-)... my FO called minimums at 100' and I still didn't have the lights( I told the Vatsim tower controller to go ahead and write me up :-) )...question for ya, when did you hit the soup ? I was on approach and had good vis all the way down to about 1000' and throughout the approach could actually see the airport. Not realistic with a massive bank of fog in the area. What setting ( ASV and FSUIPC ) might allow the ground fog to be visible before you enter the layer.here are a few of my settings :Force Destination wx zone - uncheckedSuppression Ceiling - 10000Suppression Range - 25Fog Layer Generation - checkedMinimum Vis - 0 smOvercast Enhancement - checkedcheersGreghttp://www.fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg
