  2. just getting back into flying the tubes after a long hiatis... Using Version 2.140621 ( upgraded version for p3d ) of the Milviz 732 installed in P3D V2.5 Issue #1...The Milviz P3D menu manager won't plug any entries into the sim aircraft...i.e. fuel and payload entries made within the menu. Issue # 2 Always Full Tanks ...Using the Fuel and Payload drop down menu in P3D has no effect and all three tanks in the aircraft always reset to FULL. I've tried re installing...using different variants...loading fuel during different phases of start up ...etc... I did a web search and found nothing....isolated issue ?? Any help appreciated thanks Greg
  3. nice to see you on board Mike !!
  4. just installed the update successfully using the REX4 interface...
  5. YES !!!! Since I abandoned FSX that is the one plane I regret most not having in p3d ( sorry PMDG ...lol ) cheers
  6. A2A 182 plus GTN750 equals absolute VC bliss !!! The total immersion I get with A2A products is amazing...attention to detail at the highest level. Well done boys !! Greg
  7. fly around Vancouver Island , Canada at 6500 AGL in the A2A Cherokee and the views of the entire island are breathtaking !!
  8. My first run through I had some minor recognition issues ( "ON = NINE" ) for example, but after another round of the Microsoft Speech Recognition Training i've had almost no issues...maybe worth a try
  9. keep that up !! I was just pondering how this version somehow feels more personal, more genuine for lack of a better term, than other Fs2Crew releases. cheers
  10. very helpful , thanks !!
  11. WoW Bryan !! thanks man B)
  12. I think it's a decent strategy to break out the main components and offer them seperatley. I have my own weather engine preferences, but consider the REX textures a must. Buying another FULL REX offering with wx engine would likely disuade me. cheers
  13. enabling Aero and using Vsync in V2 has FINALLY shed me of the nagging tearing I had with FSX
  14. There is a Metroliner in developement but havn't seen many updates recently...anyone else know how Razbam is making out ?? cheers greg
  15. yes I'm finally gettting the hang of the Q400 from a basic ops standpoint....I can be ready for taxi now within 10 minutes following r/w procedures for a short flight....love hand flying from YVR to YYJ following SIDS and STAR...makes for a great short experience.... btw ...come on up anytime I\d be glad to guide you around some of our rivers cheers
  16. proud to be a Canadian {wipes tear from eye}
  17. I'd also like to add my gratitude for all the help I found in here...my transition to DX10 has not always been a smooth one, mostly due to my lack of patience....but there is a wealth of accumulated knowledge here if you look for it :-) Hay paul...I've been messing with Sweet FX but havn't quiet found the sweet spot yet...I realize the right ' look' of any sim is highly subjective, but if you get a chance I'd love to see your settings! cheers
  18. I have a similar system and recently made the switch to DX10. The results are a smooth and stutter free simming experience. There is a dedicated forum here on Avsim to help get you started. cheers Greg
  19. ...ok tried it out and the shimmering and AA artifacts are still present... if I may elaborate... I use Track ir and test these settings by slowly slewing up and down a runway at ground level. When i view any line ( taxiway...runway... ) or object straight on ( at zero degrees ...or 12 O'clock ) the effects dissapear and I get sharp lines with zero shimmering. When I look at an angle, say out the corner of the windscreen at 45 degrees, whatever lines are visible have strong shimmering and almost no AA ( jaggies ) as I move forward and turn my head whatever is directly in line with my site looks perfect....this is not a TRackIr issue because if i diasble and use the Hat switch to switch views the same effect occurs. do you think there is a NI to fix this ? Again, sorry for the hi-jack cheers greg
  20. Hi , at the risk of completely hi-jacking this thread I would really like to try this, as my main issue now is the shimmering of taxiway and runway lines... If I can figure out how to " link ' the new profile I will report back, thanks for the tip. Greg
  21. Watching this thread for answers as well.... I"m a recent DX10 convert as well and also have terrible AA within FSX plus shimmering with a GTX 580 (306.97) and nothing I do in NI seems to affect anything in FSX ! Can't say i done as much experimenting as the OP but for sure something ain't right. cheers
  22. I havn't used MCE in a few months but.... like most of the MCE commands they are pretty darn close to what you would say in real life so try... " you have the radios " " you have the comms" ...plus there is a full list of Commands in the docs if you really get stuck cheers
  23. Man one of the thing I love about Opus right now is that you load and fly. I know there are many updates coming soon which will ' improve ' upon it's platform BUT I hope it doesn't morph itself into another " Setting's Buffet " I truly appreciate the effort from all the devs who attempt to satisfy everyone's needs and wants with weather depiction, but the amount of, and wording of, and descriptions of, all of these Options is crazy. cheers Greg
  24. One short test flight from Port Hardy CYZT to Nanaimo CYCD yesterday during overcast conditions. I flew the first half of the flight using REX + ....then re started the exact same flight using Opus. Sorry no pics but... The conditions at the departure airport where well depicted by both engines showing plenty of low level cloud and a nice thick overcast layer at 6000...during climb using REX + the transistion through the overcast layer was very convincing but once ' on top ' and climbing through higher altitudes the overcast layer below gradually dissipated until I was flying with a clear view of the ground. ....Opus, on the other hand, maintained that overcast layer below me throughout the entire flight ( I finished the flight using Opus ...only flew half the flight using REX ) so no fair comparison on arrival. ....no condemnation intended toward REX+ as this was a very short test flight. cheers Greg
