December 8, 200520 yr Can anyone help?I recently installed ASV Enhanced. I Already had Flight Environment installed which I am very happy with. I understood that the two worked together very well, but I am having problems. The clouds redraw every couple of seconds and my 2D cockpit stutters along with it.I fly online with VATSIM and use that networks weather for consistency. How can I stop ASV and FE from fighting with each other? I want to use FE's clouds and water. I just want ASV to update the weather. That's why I got it, as I heard it would smooth out the transitions from one weather system to another. That was the appeal of it.I have read the manual and foolow it to the letter. Maybe I missed something.Any help much appreciated.Mark
December 8, 200520 yr Hi Mark,The two products will work fine together!Try your Render to Texture the opposite you have it now. What do you mean by "fighting with each other"? You will run FE first, select your clouds and water, and Submit them. Then you will start ASV with Active Environment in All Manual mode and let it process the weather. Lastly, you will start FS04 and fly. Please let us know!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 8, 200520 yr Hello,i had the same problem :-( you see here: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...22685&mode=fullI tryed everything - ASV with and without FE, enabled/disabled all ASV-Controls,...nothing have changed... Have now deleted ASV and use FS Meteo. But i want to try ASV again...when there will be a solution...Best regards, Roland
December 8, 200520 yr Commercial Member HI Mark,"The clouds redraw every couple of seconds and my 2D cockpit stutters along with it."-Did you set the weather dynamic slider to None in fs2004?, this should be to set to None, Rate Of Change: None-Cloud percentage slider should be 100%-Use the normal rate of flight in fs2004, not 2x, 4x, 6x etc.-Make sure the latest version of FSUIPC available here http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html is correctly working and installed. When you install fsuipc, delete the previous fsuipc.dll with the fsuipc.ini from fs2004module and re-install.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
December 8, 200520 yr Hi Roland,If you didn't use ASV and the stutters still took place how could this be due to ASV?You made the last post on the other thread and were looking into FSUIPC. We never saw that you were still having trouble. When will there be a solution? We have many FE/ASV users and there are no other reports of stuttering. This means that we have a very specific problem with a specific machine. So in this case we work one-on-one to the best of our ability. But you can't just drop out of a thread.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
December 12, 200520 yr Hi Jim,sorry, when i dropped out of the thread...I had the stuttering since ASV. After deleting ASV the stuttering has not gone. But after replacing all MSFS-files (as they where before installing ASV) the stutering was away. So, it might be in connection with ASV (?).I have registrated now my FSUIPC, also updated from V. 3.50 to 3.51. I got a new video-driver and a faster disk too...and i will install ASV this weekend again and hope to loose all problems ;)Then i will post in my other thread, ok? ;)Best regards, Roland
