December 17, 200223 yr My friend who has the DC-9 tells me that he has a problem with one of the annucator lights... he says that the Mach Trim light wont go out and he doesnt know what to do to solve it... he's not a member of the forum and he didnt ask me to post a message but I thought I'd do it as a favor to him... so does anyone know why the Mach Trim light is illuminated and what he needs to do to get it to go out?
December 17, 200223 yr Doesnt work, ive tried it. No serious issue though, once im in the air i control throttles manually and i turn the APU off. Now no need to reset the warning button :)
December 17, 200223 yr Author Hi,Ensure he engages the Auto Pilot Servos (radio stack), then the Autothrottles. The light does go out on my plane. There are some "phantom" horns, but mine are usually associated with Cabin Pressure.Hope this helps.BobP :) Bob Prince
December 17, 200223 yr I only hear warning sounds if I really have done something wrong (yes, usually when I forgot to do everything that is needed to get correct cabin pressure). And there are warning horns until the engines have started - I guess this is normal. No problems with the Mach trim annunciator, however.
December 17, 200223 yr Author Hi,There is a "service" release that eliminates the alarm prior to switching the master battery to on.Have fun!BobP :) Bob Prince
