ActiveSky 2004.5 user (Feb 2005). Full price for Version 6?

Featured Replies

I purchased Active Sky 2004.5 in February 2005, for 29.95 euros. Is there a discount for version 6 ? It looks like the upgrade is only available for ASV users. I don't think is right that I have to pay full price for an upgrade only 10 months after the original purchase. If I buy version 6 now, is it going to be good only for other 10 months.Escuse my posting if AS 2004.5 users are entitled to free upgrade or an upgrade with a discount, but I did not find it in your web.Thank you,Alvaro

Hi Alvaro,AS2004 was upgraded free for over a year, as well as all major product versions. We initially planned the upgrade to ASV to last for a limited time - only 3 months (as announced) but offered it for 6 months. The upgrade for AS2004 users to ASV is no longer available, and no upgrade from 2004 to ASv6 exists. If you buy version 6 you will be getting 2 major product versions newer (which is one heck of an "upgrade") with many new enhancements and features, plus a brand new excellent graphics upgrade add-on. It will always be supported and we have several free updates to the product planned as usual. We are always working on new products as well and feel that each one is more than worthy of the cost involved, but of course you have the choice of getting the newest version or not. We will continue to directly support AS2004/.5 for many months to come. We appreciate your purchase of AS2004 and hope to have you as an ASv6 user!Best,

Damian Clark
