More WideFS Confusion !

Featured Replies

I kind of posted this elsewhere, that upon starting up ASV6.0 on my remote non-FS9 computer, ASV6.0 does not want to accept my designations about where fl9.exe is located, neither where the Fs9 application data is located after numerous tries. This was never a problem for ASV/e, the prior version5.0, all my network shares worked beautifully. I have even tried to put in the paths by hand into the ASV6.0 INI config. file, ASV6.0 then overwrites the FS9.exe path "NONE", it keeps the applications data path in the INI file but then says it cant find it!! To make matter more confusing, when I start up WideFS across my network and startup FS9 with ASV6.0, lo and behold ASV finds FS9 and pumps out weather for it. Has it found it?, if so why does it say it hasnt!! VERY confusing. This is Harry Potter and the Lost ASV files!! .......LOLRandy Jura, KPDX

Hi Randy,We have multiple posts in multiple threads about this.. Please check the pinned topics. Essentially your Application Data folder is not shared correctly. Things are much different now in ASv6, it requries accessing wx_station files that reside in the appdata folder. I would write the 20 lines of info you need again but my fingers are simply numb right now and I need to try and save them for opening Christmas presents :)Let us know if we can be of further assistance.Best,
