Uninstalling AS 2004.5 before installing AS V6

Featured Replies

I currently use both Active Sky 2004.5 and FS Sky World. How should I proceed to upgrade to Active Sky V6? Change back to standard FS2004 cloud textures with FS Sky World, uninstall AS 2004.5, delete the AS2004.5 folders that remain, and then just install AS6? I assume that I could continue to use FS Sky World to take advantage of some of it's features, such as enhanced landing lights, snow, moon, sun and runway light textures, 'lens flare' options, FS2004 Splash Screen switcher, etc? Thanks!

Chris,Thanks for your response! Do I need to change the FS Sky World textures of the sun, moon, runway lights, etc, back to the FS2004 defaults before installing and using AS V 6?

Hi Chris,Well not need asv will overwrite them, but if you want, copy the default fs2k4 texture in fs2004texture, since asv6 at start up will make a backup of the texture folder, you will have your backup.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
