December 30, 200520 yr I have been running ActiveSky since AS2004 V1.0, most of the time using WideFS. It has performed excellently, and I now never fly without it! However, having now attempted to upgrade my ASVE build 367 to ASv6 build 441, I have hit a problem with ActiveSky Graphics install.I get the following error when trying to start ASG:"ASG.exe - Application ErrorThe application failed to initialise properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application"OK is the only option presented.ASv6 has installed correctly (once I realised that the new drive mapping for the weather station list update had to be precicely pointing to the "application data" directory on the FS9 machine, and not to the user directory or the FS9 application data sub directory - I didn't read the readme carefully enough!), and I have set up the options and checked that weather is correctly managed via the WideFS interface.Clicking on the ActiveSky Graphics button on the ASv6 interface does nothing - no error message is produced, just nothing happens.I have tried both uninstalling ASv6 and then reinstalling after a fresh reboot. I have also attempted repairing the installation by rerunning the install program. Neither of these makes any difference.ASVE is still installed (I always check out the new program before uninstalling the old). The readme for ASv6 seems to indicate this should be OK, and ASVE still works fine. Could it be that I have to uninstall ASVE first?I would appreciate some help. Thanks.
December 30, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Richard,It looks like .NET Framework is not installed. You can get it from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com. You can use v1.1 or v2.0. Please check the installation instructions/requirements for more information. Let us know if you have any further problems/questions. Thanks! Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
