Missing Weather Stations

Featured Replies

When viewing the FAA, NWS, and FSINN feeds, I find weather for the following stations (to name a few) but I cannot get them to come up in Activesky. Would it be possible to add these stations? All have been feeding weather to the internet for at least 5 years now, so I don't understand why Activesky nor VATSIM have these on their feeds, so I thought I'd bring it up -NZPG (Pegasus Ice Runway, McMurdo Station, Antarctica)NZWD (McMurdo Station, Antarctica)NZCM (McMurdo Ice Runway, Antarctica)KLNC (Lancaster Municipal, Texas, USA)In fact, after further searching, I can't seem to find any of the weather stations in Antarctica available for ActiveSky.Being that this is the time of year when flying down there is very active (and the vUSAF is running the Deep Freeze operation down there), it sucks to have our weather show up the same as with some airport in Central Africa (getting 80*F readings at McMurdo as I type) instead of down in Antarctica when those stations are available for you to retrieve and generate off the internet feeds.

Hi,2 reasons.....1) Some station data was not available for various reasons when we built our weather station database (referencing FS9 weather stations). We have been actively updating this every now and then as new information or requests become available.2) If the ICAO ID (METAR) is not referencing a specific weather station within FS9's weather station database, there is no place to assign this weather to. I believe IVAO, etc use the global weather system instead of station-based weather, meaning they change the weather globally to match the current conditions based on the closest available METAR. In AS, and station-based weather systems ALA FS9 default, we are limited by the weather stations available and never use GLOBAL wx depiction. FWIW we are actively updating all this and adding over 150 new stations (per reason #1) with the help of a very generous user who has spent many hours helping to go through the file with a fine-toothed comb. These additions and other related improvements should be available pretty soon.Best,
