January 11, 200620 yr I was wondering how everyone starts ASv6 before flying. currently, I start FS via FS Autostart, change weather to clear skies (no rate of change), load my flight, go to FSUIPC and go to normal weather/weather settings off, and load ASv6. Once Asv6 loads, I import my flight plan and off I go. I have also heard people downloading a flightplan in ASv6 prior to loading FS. Which way is better? The reason why I ask is because it seems like weather on departure is usually more consistant than arrival. I get more "pop-up" weather on arrival. I flew KPHX-KSNA last night with the PIC 737 and the arrival went from clear to foggy, to clear again. The report was for clear. When flying into KSEA I got good vis to low vis to good. Any ideas? ThanksBrad
January 11, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi,No need to clear weather/dynamics and/or choose weather settings off each time. Once you do this once you are good to go for all future sessions.Sounds like you are refering to visibility shifts in and out of the 10sm barrier (well known FS9 "feature"). You can disable FS9 haze layer and use the "Force Destination Wx Zone" feature for more consistent visibility during your approach...Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
