Maddening behavior since updating ... need advice

Since adding patches 1 and 2 and the January 19th patch I have been having real frustrating behavior from AS6. Lost hours and hours on this. Essentially, the program just won't ever recognize or retain the network shares to the FS directory and personal files and now it launches the installer for another program (FS Flightkeeper) each time it starts or generates initialization errors. I see that others have these problems as well and there just doesn't seem to be a good answer to them. I give up. I've used Active Sky for several years through all versions since the first and used to love the program. Used to never fly without it and recomend it to others. But I don't have enough time in my life to devote to FS as it is, and this has taken up too many days I could be flying. I just uninstalled the program entirely. I'll probably re-install at some point when I am less angry. What steps do I need to take to re-install, since the install to AS6 was an upgrade over ASVE. Is there some sort of full installer for AS6 (not the upgrade) and what information or files must I have?

Hi,"I see that others have these problems as well and there just doesn't seem to be a good answer to them."Can you point me to any unresolved case of such issues?I assume you have a wideFS setup and have had some problems getting that working correctly.We have approximately 10 wideFS users on our beta team and I have 3 different test wideFS setups here in development and we cannot reproduce any such problems that are sometimes reported along these lines.There certainly doesn't appear to be a "widespread occurence" of problems here, and in just about all the cases that have been reported, the user wasn't following instructions (most common problem: wrong folders chosen or shares set improperly). This would be the only open issue I am aware of at this time and I hope you give us a chance to solve it for you. However, I don't recall any previous unresolved support request that you submitted? To re-install, just follow the instructions provided. To recap, run the full install ActiveSky 6 package which was created when you ran the unwrapper for ASV/ASVE users.Best,
