January 22, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Nicolas,These random ctd can be caused by a multiple things, more application running at the same time, more ressource hungry etc., these can happend in some specific situation with specific system.-Install the latest ASV6 Patch.-Are you using auto submit, if yes, disable to test-Try to fly with default aircraft and test.-Uninstall your video cards driver and re-install the latest one.-Install the latest chipset driver for your motherboard.-In ASV option, you can limit the clouds layers to 3.-On some system using 64x64 32bits the performance are slower then 256x256 32bits.. I recommend to test 256x256 32bits first, then 512x512256x256 DXT. You have to test with your system. Some can have better performance with DXT clouds, but you need to enable render to texture in fs2004 display option, the problem with this is, the real function for render to texutre option in fs2004 is explaned below. -The RenderToTexture option in the display settings is used to control how the cloud impostors are generated. If the setting is on, then FlightSim will use the GPU to generate the impostors (if possible). If it Kind RegardsChris Willis
