Hi,I have AS 2004.5 setup using WideFS, the Actice Radar worked great, even showed white for show.Yesterady I purchased AS6, and have it working with WideFS, have deleted the activeradr DLL, and folder under FS/Models. Then ran the ActiveRadarConnector.exe program from the FS computer.Shutdown and restarted both cpmuters, start FS, then WideFS, then AS. Everything works properly.I start ActiveRadar, it shows wind direction, airports, ect. But doesn't show ant perceptation, rain or snow.I have used the search for wx, found loactions and moved the plane there, with in a few moments, the rain or snow starts. But even after 5 minutes, there is still no precertation showing on the radar. My AS buiold is 464.Any ideas? Thanks.

The Radar display has wind direction and speed matching what AS says.Which is 351/06The Tracking screen shows this:Local InformationNearest Station: (1000nm)Winds: 308 at 19ktsVisability: 20.00 SMPressure: 29.92Temperature: 13/3Ceiling: unlimitedPrecipitation: noneSo, looks like it's not getting info update. Is there any way to force the update into AR?

Hi,Just following up on this.Did re-install cure the problem? We have had this kind of issue reported (if memory serves me correctly) a few times in the past, always during updates to new versions. Re-install has been known to solve it. We're not yet sure why this occurs but we are suspecting that anti-virus or firewall software is in the mix.FWIW, when range to closest station is listed in AR as 1000nm, there is not a proper connection to FSUIPC OR there are damaged/missing required AR files. Sometimes the FSUIPC.log can reveal some helpful information, showing the connection attempt status of AR.Best,

OK, well I finally have a good ActiveRadar.I did as you asked, uninsatlled, AS6, AR1.2update, AS2004.5update, and then AS2004.5 off the WideFS computer. Then went into the FS computer and deleted the Activeradar.dll and the activeradar folder from the modules folder. Then restarted both computers.Changed my WideClient.ini to allow TCPIP connection.Sarted FS, then WideFS, it connected. Which is good. Then shutdown WideFS and FS.Installed AS6.Had it start AS when asked, it went through finding the paths. It updated my FS wx.Then shut down both FS and AS.Ran ActiveRadarConnector.exe from the FS computer. Then restarted FS, WideFS, and AS, tried AR before AS was fininshed updating. It didn't work properly.Even afer AS was finished updating and writing data, including AR. AR still didn't work properly. So shut AS and FS.Restarted FS, WideFS, and AS. Then waited for AS to finish updating and writing data. Then started AR, Bingo, it was working. So shut down FS, WideFS, and AS.Changed the WideClient.ini back to not use TCP/IP.Started up FS, then WideFS. It connected. Then started AS and allowed it to finish updating. The tried AR, it worked. So, then searched for another location with rain, (vrs the snow where I was), at first, AR showed the wrong location under Tracking. Waited for 5 minutes, the update rate. The rain popped up on AR and Tracking then showed the correct location. So, after all that. It's now working as advertized, and works with both TCP/IP and IPX for WideFS.Thanks.

HI, Yes I was able to get to work after a reinstall. Please see my other reply for details. BTW I was waiting much longer then 5 minutes to see if there was any results.I have noticed that AS6 seems to default to KSEA then jump to I believe a closer location, then finally to the actual location if I switch location in FS.Thanks,Tim
