Horrible Straight line when sun sets on Horizon

Featured Replies

HI everyone, I don't know about you but I always have pet hates in FS9 and although after years of tweaking I am narrowing them all down I still have afew left. One of them concerns that horrible straight line you can see when the sun sets on horizon Please refer to my screen shot attached to see what I mean. I am not sure if it is related to Activesky , I suspect not, but because they are brilliant with cloud textures and stuff like that, I thought I'd post it here in the hope that one of the team might be able to shed light on the issue.I simply would like to get rid of the straight line effect and have a continous 'soft blend' on the horizon which I have manged to achieve by using soft horizons textures and tweaking, except for when the sun gets low on the horizon, which then creates the straight line effect. If anyone can help i'd really love to here from you. Thanks,PaulPS If anyone is interested in how I got the textures so that they give the soft look as oppossed to the hard look I will be happy to email them. You can see a good example of the soft horizon effect of mine in another post here in activesky called horizon...*can't recall the full name of the post)Cheers

Here is a better picture which clearly shows what I am complaining about. As you can see the horizon gets abruptly interrupted with the horrible straight line effect once the sun gets below a certain height on the horizon. I would love to creat a soft effect which blended in well with the soft outline of the dusk horizon effect on either side of the sun when it sets.CheersPaul

Hi Paul,The strait line are the scenery and after are the water in the pic?Any Sky set will not fix this even soft horizon, until you have lower visibility to hide the ground.ThanksChris Willishttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpghttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg
