Hi, this is happening at several weather stations eg LIMU.It seems if the METAR has wind ///abKT (for VRB) then AS decodes this as 9abKT from 000.Any thoughts from the developers how to prevent a/c being destroyed by wrongly decoded 1000+ KT winds?:-hmmm

Hi,A temporary fix would be to limit your surface winds on the ASv6 Options page. If we can all watch this issue, then we can see if a fix is necessary.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg

Thanks for reply Jim,Unfortunately limiting the surface winds seems to have no effect on these ultra high winds being passed to FS.Also entering an area with the anomaly results in the winds going to hundreds of knots all over the world until AS can smooth them down which can take 30 minutes.Once active the only way to eliminate them is to close AS completely, because while running the processing only gradually reasserts the proper wind velocities. This is a serious bug and needs addressing.Regards, Graham

Hi all,Thanks for the reports and observations. Since this is just now being reporting I am assuming this was caused by recent METAR format changes for wind speed at such airports. It will be fixed. Thanks again.Best,
