activeradar installation

Featured Replies

Hi,I have read all the threads and FAQ about the issue and have tried every ways but still cannot get activeradar installed. The same message "Program Error...Exiting (Verigy proper file locations and Mapped Drive to the ROOT of the WideFS/ASv6 Machine)" still occurred. My setups are :In WideFS PC, ASv6 installed to C: drive. ASv6 folder shared. C:drive shared. In FS PC, FS9 folder shared, application data folder shared, flight simulator files folder shared, C: drive in WideFS PC mapped as Z:.Use registered FSUIPC.I have network and WideFS properly connected. ASv6 worked perfect in submitting weather data to FS, just cannot install the active radar.DanielVHHH

Hi,Make sure you have updated to SU3. The initial ASv6 release had a known issue with activeradarconnector. If you continue to have problems please e-mail me at [email protected] and I can work this out with you.Best,

Hi Damian,In fact, I just purchased ActiveSky last week (surely after 18 Feb 2006). Am I making mistake that I do not need SP3 ?Besides, I bypassed the whole activeradar installaton and tried manual copy of activeradar.dll to FS9 modules. The activeradar screen did appear but was totally dark. I used 'find weather' function in ASv6 and located airports with rain, moved the Cessna to the field, flew to 6000 ft. Then, open activeradar, flew for awhile in heavy rain, radar screen was still dark. I noticed, while ASv6 was processing weather data, there was momentarily appearance of message ' writing data to activeradar....'. It seemed that the data was passing to active radar but somehow could not be shown in the radar screen. Finally, if I do need SP3 or future updates for ASv6, is there any way I could back up my present ASv6 because I found my present ASv6, apart from the active radar problem, worked perfectly well with my other three add-ons running together in my wideFS PC. Anyway, another great add-on !DanielVHHH

Yes, it reads Build 470. But the radar screen was still dark when I flew in areas of heavy rain. Hope anyone can help !DanielVHHH

Just dropped a note yesterday. Wish to receive replies asap !Daniel
